Bump Update – Weeks 29-33

03.25.19

And I’m back to share the fourth installment of my bump update series! Like I said, in the spirit of documentation — I wanted to make sure these bump updates had a place on the blog, even though my bump is now 20 weeks gone! Like part one, part two and part three of this series — I not only wanted to document my thoughts and feelings each week for myself, but to also share for others who may be coming into a similar stage in their own pregnancy (or are just curious about my experience). I know that one day (and even now, reading through these put me into tears, guys) I’ll love looking back on these photos and notes that were a part of such an important time in our life.

Ok, onto more of those third trimester weeks —

Week 29:

On the day I posted this photo, it was my last day of being 29 weeks pregnant! Baby boy was the size of a pineapple and had been hiccuping like crazy! Truthfully, the past 10 weeks felt like they went by in the blink of an eye. At 20 weeks pregnant, we found out we were expecting a baby boy and from that moment on, all of “our baby” talk turned into what we’ll do with “our little guy.” During those 10 weeks, we watched my belly grow, our little boy move and stretch on the ultrasound screen (and now via my big belly — alien style) and experienced all that’s to come in the later days of my second trimester and into my third! The days often went by slow, but the weeks and months went by so quickly — and before we knew it, he would be in our arms! 11 weeks — 10 weeks (on the next day) to go!

Week 30:

30 weeks pregnant and baby boy was the size of a summer cantaloupe! During this week he weighed nearly 3 pounds and had been kicking and pushing up a storm in there! His favorite thing during this time was to kick out his foot on my upper right side, near where my hand is. He also had lots of hiccups and made my back aching real bad! We were getting so close, though, and just couldn’t want to meet our little guy! 10 weeks to go! We took these photos in downtown Mesa after having dinner at our favorite Worth Takeaway. I remember thinking how excited I was to be 30 weeks pregnant and was getting SO excited/nervous baby boy and I to be in the home stretch.

Week 31:

It’s official — the baby brain had kicked in majorly (although, I had been blaming it during most of my pregnancy since I’ve become so forgetful!). This time, though, I had forgotten to share my official 31 weeks pregnant update! The past week we had celebrated with our second bi-monthly appointment (I couldn’t believe we were not going in so often)! We also had our first labor and delivery class AND booked our maternity photos with Hovering Heart Photography! Baby boy also made me REAL achey the week before this, but I knew that we were in the home stretch and I just couldn’t wait to see his face! Also, Scott and I had the fall Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market a few weekends from this post and I got to show off the bump there!

Week 32:

A little thought during my 32 week — I may not have a whole lot of time in autumn to dress this bump, but I was sure going to take advantage of it while I could! Dressing for summer while pregnant felt like a challenge, but fall is truly my jam! Also, these photos were taken in downtown Prescott and I remember thinking how BIG my bump was at this point — WOW! But I was loving this outfit and this day!

Week 33:

I was almost caught up on the baby bump updates, but here I am at 33 weeks pregnant! During this week, I saw so much growth in my belly — every day I swear it doubled in size! Ok, maybe not quite — but baby boy grew so much this week! At this point, he was the size of a big stalk of celery and weighed nearly 5lbs! Back pain has been pretty consistent these past few weeks and this week was no exception. Oh, and my feet/ankles got real swollen! Overall, though, all was well with our little guy and we were getting closer every day to meeting him!

Will be sharing the last few sets of weeks here shortly!
