Black & Stripes

01.18.11
This morning I unfortunately don’t have a interview to share with you, but I promise next week the interview will be back on track. Anyways, on to the outfits!
Now, I know it’s only January, but it’s already starting to feel like spring in Phoenix. Lately I’ve been able to go out and about without any kind of jacket at all, and I’ve been taking full advantage of it. However, since it’s still winter I like to stick to my dark basics (ok, maybe that’s all year round for me anyways), and lately I’ve been loving stripes.
Sunglasses: Ray bans; Necklaces: gift from my mom, and vintage; Striped shirt: Nordstroms Rack; Bracelet: Gift; Jeans: Levi’s; Boots: Steve Madden
Sunglasses: Ray Bans; Cardigan: Banana Republic; Flannel: Levi’s; Jeans: Levi’s; Boots: Fossil
Lately I’ve found myself trying to accessorize more, which includes bracelets (which I’m pretty bad at wearing) and necklaces that haven’t seen daylight in awhile.
This past weekend went by pretty quickly for Scott and I. We didn’t really do much, but it seemed to be over before we knew it. Today is our first day of the spring semester and we’re both really excited. Scott is attending his first class as an ASU student, and I’m having my last first day as an undergraduate. Today is bittersweet for myself, and I am hoping for a wonderful semester for the both of us.

Lately we’ve both been digging boots, like they are all we wear. However, with the temperature rising I see that changing in the near future (unfortunately). I can hear my Salt Water Sandals calling my name already. Oh my!

With regards to the day’s accessories again, the diamond necklace was a gift from my parents on my 21st birthday, and the vintage beaded necklace was a gift from my grandma.

The metal bracelet was also a gift from my mom, and is not something I wear often, but I do like it for its chunkiness.

After our classes, I one and he two, we are headed to central Phoenix to meet up with Kara and Shawni. Kara and I met last March at a local coffee shop, and I’m excited to have another blogger meet-up with her and finally meet Shawni.

What are you plans for today? If you’re in school, did you go back yet? What are you studying?
