The Friday before last was the LuLu*s Style Studio event in downtown Phoenix! I had literally been waiting months for this day to come around, so I was incredibly excited when it finally came. Earlier in the afternoon before the event started I met up with Erin of Calivintage and Lauren of Phoenix, Je T’aime at Songbird Coffee & Tea House (which is connected to the venue that the event was being held at). We decided to go for a little stroll around downtown Phoenix, and check out a few vintage (only one ended up being open!) shops along the way.
We arrived back at the Monorchid a little before the event started, so I spent a little time checking out the Radiant Cosmetics booth. Nicole of Radiant is most definitely one of the sweetest ladies I met through my blog, so it was lovely to have her at the event (and to finally being able to meet in real life!). Nicole and Bri did makeup on sweet attendees all evening, and also spread the word about Radiant and their amazing mission.
About half way into the event Mara, who I was SO excited to finally meet in person after years of being blog friends, gave an awesome talk about her favorite fall trends. She said that she was nervous, but she talked like a pro! You go, Mara!
It was so great to finally meet Erin and Mara. These two ladies are both SO incredibly sweet, and I’m so thankful that I had the opportunity to meet them!
I was also SO happy to see Ashley and her husband, Marcus, at the event. Ashley wrote a really sweet post about coming to the event, and how she almost didn’t because of social anxiety. Being someone that can relate to Ashley’s feelings, I really found her post moving and heartfelt. If you’re not already following Ashley, I highly suggest you check out her blog (she has amazing style and the biggest heart!).
Thanks so much again to LuLu*s for throwing such an amazing event in Phoenix, and for asking me and the Phoenix Style Collective to be involved! I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect evening!
Have you ever attended a blogger event before? If so, I would love to hear about it!
