Although I live in the middle of the desert, my heart often yearns to be close to the ocean. Growing up I always had this loved for Seattle (where my mom grew up), and I always cherished the time I got to spend near the ocean up there. Today I still have this infinity for the the cold, breezy ocean, but since I’m not able to be close to it, I cherish the lake we have just a few streets down from my house. I will always love this little lake (even if it’s not perfect).
A few evenings ago Scott and I made our way to the beach front side of Tempe Town Lake. The sun was setting, and the view from the dock was gorgeous. I swear, this city is full of so much charm.
I recently purchased these green cords on a whim. The color is a bit out of my comfort zone, but I thought they would be fun for spring and summer. I might have pulled them out a bit early, but I just couldn’t help it. Bonus: they’re extra soft and comfy!
This guy has been extra sweet lately. I’m so thankful for him and his love! Also, he’s the best person to go grocery shopping with. We spent about an hour and a half wandering through Trader Joe’s last night, and then spent the night catching up on The Voice (I feel a little silly for watching it, but kind of love it) and Portlandia (guilty pleasure!).
This morning we’re having a breakfast date with sweet friends, and then I have a list of things I want to get accomplished afterward (mostly regarding school and sipping some delicious coffee that my sweet friend Ainsley sent me). I also really want to go see The Artist with Scott! We’ve been meaning to see it for quite some time now, and I want to be sure and see it before it gets out of the theaters.
What are your plans for the day? Have you seen The Artist yet? XO
