New Moon, coffee, and book stores.

11.21.09

Here I am, sitting in my fav corporate coffee shop, The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, sipping on an iced coffee and taking a break from homework. Thought I would give a little update on my life.

Yesterday (Friday) I had five different interviews for possible internship’s for next semester. I met with people from very prestigious magazines and newspapers, and I’m hoping one of them would like to have me on their team. If not, that’s ok and I’ll be just fine.
After I got done with my interviews I met Scott at this cute new coffee shop in downtown by my school, and decided to head for Tempe Marketplace. At TM we had lunch at Paradise Bakery, and then went and saw New Moon.
Here are my thoughts on the movie:
The movie was better than the first in the series. The acting was better, the makeup was better, the boys were better looking, and overall the movie left me with a sense of emptiness for a period of time, just like the book did.
There were parts where I know they left stuff out, and changed a few things around. Overall though, I am extremely happy about the movie and how true it stayed to the book. The imagery was well spoke to my heart. Being a girl with a love for the Northwest, it made me feel at home. I am extremely looking forward to the next installment of the series.
Here are a few pictures from the movie for you Twilight saga fans to get mushy over (much like I did):

Not from the movie but stillll:
So cute!
Oh geeeez!
After the movie Scott and I did a little running around and ended up at Bookman’s where Scott and I both found some pretty neat things, including a Simon and Garfunkel greatest hits record and a few Christmas presents for family and friends. We made macaroni and cheese and peas for dinner, and watched Panic Room.
Today I plan on working on more homework, working on Scott and I’s advent calendar, possibly going on a bike ride, and doing something with Amanda!
