Bicycle Wear

01.11.11
The other day I took my 1970’s Schwinn bicycle out for a stroll. The weather in Phoenix was definitely chilly, so I needed lots of layers. This past semester I didn’t have many chances to take my bike out, but I’m hoping for many bike dates with my guy come spring.

My bicycle was a gift from Scott a few years back. I had a 1970’s English made Raleigh, but unfortunately it was stolen. I do believe however that my Schwinn suits me much more nicely.

The bike was purchased from a neighbor of Scott’s at a garage sale. I believe it was $25, and Scott did a wonderful job of cleaning it up. Right now I have another bike that is waiting to be fixed up (a vintage girl’s bike), and Scott has a few vintage bikes as well. We been pretty much collecting bikes for three or more years now, and we’ve had a lot of fun with them. Two semesters ago Scott would bring our bikes downtown and we would ride around the area together on my break. I hope to do that more this semester!

Today Scott and I spent time with our friend Gina who just got engaged (Congrats Gina and Ryan! We love you!). We went to have her ring sized, got coffee at Press coffee, checked out the Soleri bridge in Scottsdale, had lunch at Chipotle, and got free cupcakes at Sprinkles (best thing ever!). Scott and I also spent time helping my mom sort through tons of our things, including loads of my baby clothes, toys, and picture. I also sorted through a few of my mom’s things and found some great dresses that I plan on wearing soon.

What did you do today?
