Yesterday was St. Patty’s Day, and although Scott and I didn’t do anything to celebrate it, I still found it necessary to wear a little green.

Scott and I were in downtown Phoenix so I could work on a few projects for two of my classes. We decided to take a little drive after my work was done, and ended up a few blocks away in front of this old hotel. When Phoenix was in the early stages, the road that this hotel sits off of (Central) was essentially THE street in town where everything happened. To this day the street stands as an important area in town, and some of my very favorite places line it (including my school, Urban Outfitters, Mercantile, etc.).
Since I was taking photos and doing interviews I wanted to keep my outfit pretty casual, but I did spice it up with my pretty Blowfish Shoes wedges and a vintage bag that I picked up at a thrift store in Idaho a few years ago.
Yet another thrifted find (I seem to be pulling out all of those lately). I paid $3 for this lovely little bag in Burley, Idaho a few years ago. The bag itself is way too tiny for every day, but I love sticking my ID, money, keys, and phone in there when a large bag isn’t necessary for the occasion (which is during concerts mostly). I don’t think I will ever get over being a large-sized bag girl.
This morning Scott and I are going on an adventure in Scottsdale, and will also be stopping by The Grow-Op to drop off a few materials that Scott put together for people to use to make mini garden boxes during this weekend’s Art Detour in downtown Phoenix. Scott and I will unfortunately be unable to attend, but if you’re in the area definitely check it out! I hear it’s going to be a lot of fun!
What’s your favorite old building in your town?
