A COUNTRY SUNSET

08.04.14

Hey ya’ll! It’s Monday once again and I’m determined to make this week rock! Scott and I got up early this morning, had breakfast together, sat in our backyard for a bit and now we’re both spending some time working on our passions — he – woodworking, me – blogging.  We don’t always get to spend our mornings together, but when we do we really make sure they count! Anyways, I’ve been doing a little reminiscing about past summers and my time in Colorado. While I loving being in Phoenix during the summer with my hubby and friends, I do miss the small towns and country views that my summers in Colorado always gave me. Even though I’ll always be a city gal, there’s a part of me that will forever love the country, a good pair of cowboy boots and those quaint towns that were always full of adventure.

Even though August just started, I can tell that it’s going to be a refreshing month. Yesterday afternoon a giant rain storm came out of nowhere and it felt so good to hear the rain drops coming down while we sat in the dark and enjoyed some coffee together. Scott and I decided a french toast dinner seemed fitting for the evening (made with the most delicious cinnamon chip bread I picked up at the farmers market), and afterward we went on a two mile walk around our favorite park. We also spent some time working on Scott’s new website for his handmade business, Citizen Home Decor – which went live yesterday (check it out!).
