Hello! Scott and I are back from our California adventure and I wanted to say thank ya’ll so much for the recommendations and kind notes — we had the best time in San Diego! While on our trip we must have taken 500 photos (and videos too!), but we took these photos a few weeks before we left the land of the the desert (aka Phoenix where is was 115 degrees while we were gone), so before I got on a roll with posting those photos, I wanted to share these because I absolutely loved this gorgeous early summer day and how beautiful the lighting was in our favorite orchard.
June has been a crazy, busy month and I can’t believe it’s almost over! Since coming back to California, Scott and I purchased airline tickets and will be hopping on a jetplane Saturday afternoon to spend a week with my folks in Salt Lake City, UT. I’m so excited for the beautiful weather, the lush landscape, and to see my pups, Piper and Scout, who I’ve missed terribly while they’ve been away with my folks for the summer.
If you have any suggestions for neat restaurants, shops, coffee shops, etc., in the Salt Lake City area — please send them my way! I’m also hoping to meet up with an old friend (Hi Lucia!), and also a few sweet ladies that I’ve met through Instagram and blogging of the years. I love that because of this ol’ blog of mine that I’ve been able to make friends in cities all over the country, including Salt Lake and Chicago — which I’ll be headed to in August for the Create & Cultivate conference. Will I be seeing any of you there? Let a lady know! 😉
I already have a feeling that this summer will be full of traveling, and I feel so blessed that I get to do so much of it with this sweet guy — he’s my rock, my travel companion and built-in coffee date/best friend, among many other things– doesn’t get much better than that!
