One of my favorite places in the city is only a couple blocks away from our home — the grove. I know you’ve seen many photos from this secluded spot on my blog before (in fact, we took our engagement photos here), but to me, this place will never ever get old. I love seeing the grove change through the season, giving off different kinds of light and views as the year goes by. While October will always be my favorite time of year among the pistachio trees (when we took our engagement photo), I’ll always have a soft spot in me for this gorgeous July light.
Our days have been full, yet amazing around here lately. Over the weekend, Scott and I attended a local Instagram Camp which had over 100 attendees and some of the most creative local folks teaching who specialize in photography, blogging, styling and more. Going to this workshop made me realize how much the blogging scene has changed over the years, and how many bloggers have moved to solely Instagram only. While it’s tempting, I don’t think I could ever give up this ol’ blog of mine. Tea Talk turned six back in June, and I’ve been blogging in one way of another since my early teens years (hello Xanga, LiveJournal and more!). My experience this weekend was definitely eye-opening, and also refreshing — getting me excited for the fall months ahead and what else this blog will see Scott and I through in the coming year. Sometime’s it’s wild to think that the last six years of my life are well documented in the archives of this blog — isn’t it?

Scott and I don’t have any big plans for the rest of the week — just working and resting as much as we can. Did I mention we woke up at 4am on Sunday to do the most amazing sunrise photoshoot with Tish Carlson? She’s an incredible photographer based out of Albuquerque who was in town for the workshop. Her work is beyond magical, and you just may be seeing a few familiar faces up on her blog sometime soon! 😉
