And then it was April? Seriously, where has this year gone? It felt like just yesterday it was January 1st and I was shivering in my boots and lots of layers, now the days are longer and warmer — and a little bit windy, as of lately. Scott and I kicked off this new month with a road trip down to Southern Arizona for a long weekend to spend some time with my family and take in the sights (and snacks) at the local fair. Before we headed out for the weekend, we took a little walk around the orchard to see everything in bloom. While our spring season never seems to last long, the green trees and blooms we do have are something special — like I said, spring is turning into my (second) favorite season.

I’ve got big plans for this week — well, big plans as in do our laundry, clean and get back on track after a very busy month. Things are set to pick back up here again very soon, but until then I’ll be soaking in all of the home time I can, well, that and watching my guilty pleasure show that just started a new season — Southern Charm, haha! 

Before I go, I want to say how thankful I am to be back blogging and on a fresh, brand new site. I felt a bit off and unbalanced during my time not blogging this past month, which looking back — was probably the best during all of the busyness that was going on. I’m very happy to be back, though, and look forward to sharing lots during this new and fresh season! Have a great week, sweet friends!
