How To Style Birkenstock Bostons

We’ve all seen them at this point – the classic Birkenstock Boston are the “it shoe” of the upcoming season and they are truly a hot commodity right now! Every online and in-person retailer I’ve looked at lately has has these bad boys sold out and the second they get them back in – they’re out again in a flash. It definitely became my mission to find them in my size (38 – probably the most popular size) and you know what – I finally did it! Wanna hear how? Here’s my secret:

Ok, we all have that favorite local shoe shop that has been there for ages and we’ve frequented over the years, right? Mine is call The Shoe Mill and it’s located in downtown Tempe right near our local state college. My family has made it a point every year in October to stop in there and shop their new selects and this year I knew I had to call them early to see if they had the coveted Birkenstock Bostons in. Well, they did have them in, but not in the color way I was looking for (suede taupe). I may have caved and bought a smooth leather finish because I just had to had a pair (trying to relive my childhood from the 90’s over here). However, the sweet employee took my name, size and number down and offered to call me when they were back in stock (she said they were spotty coming in, but ya never know).

A week later my phone was ringing and the shoes were in! I was able to secure them online and pick them up in store. Goes to show that you gotta check in on and support your local shoe store! And now that I have them in my possession, I’m excited to style them more. Lately I’ve been wearing them with dresses and jeans – bands tees and sweaters.
