Spring Picnic

04.09.13

This printed, peter pan collar top that I picked up in the tiny town of Crested Butte, Colorado a few summers back always reminds me of spring picnics – ya know, the kind where you spread out on a red checkerboard blanket in the middle of grassy patch, snacking on fruits, veggies and sipping iced cold coffee and tea while you take in the sun. Last week the weather warmed up quite a bit around here and I couldn’t stop dreaming about picnics and a trip to the fancy Clarendon Hotel pool, but since then a blustery storm has moved its way into town and we’ve been left with mass amounts of dust in the air, tumbling tumbleweeds, and the perfect amount of drizzly and coolness to make me realize how thankful I am to still have 50 degree evenings in April. Come May, days like these will be far away from us, so I’m savoring every moment of this glorious weather that I can.

See that lovely gold chain and clear crystal beaded bracelet there? Well, it’s my favorite Threads bracelet and it hasn’t left my wrist lately. I’m getting SO excited for The Shine Project Beauty Bar benefit on the 20th, and hope to see so many of you there! Proceeds go to an amazing cause and its sure to be an extra fun evening of pampering and good company! Have you got your ticket yet?

Today I’m playing catch up on some homework (i.e I have a presentation on Thursday and need to put some major work into it), and I’m also hoping to go on a mini photo adventure.

What are you up to this today? What kinds of snacks do you like to pack for a picnic lunch?
