During the latter half of my birthday, Scott and I headed up north to Sedona, Arizona. It had literally been years and years since either of us had been to this spiritual city, but we were both eager to explore the area and take in all of the surrounding natural beauty. Last summer, two of our closest friends eloped in Sedona in this very spot (you can see their amazing elopement video here!), and they were kind enough to point us in the direction of this wonderfully secret, and breathtaking creek. Here, it was cool and calm and we could only hear the noises of birds chirping and the water rushing through the creek. Sedona is known as being a very spiritual and metaphysical place, so it felt amazing to be there and take in all the positivity of the area on the first day of a new year life – 26, I have a feeling you’re going to be just as magical as this secret creek tucked away within the Sedona hills.

Scott and I have already started to plan out our summer with trips up north and possibly to California to escape the heat. I wouldn’t mind returning to this gorgeous place, even if only for a picnic along the trees and a walk through the creek. If anyone has any favorite spots within Arizona that you think we should check out, please share! We’ve been wanting to check out the Vulture Mines in Wickenburg, and also the Aircraft Boneyard outside of Tucson.
