It has been quite awhile since I’ve pulled together one of these posts, in fact – it’s been nearly three years! That’s what busy days and busy babies will do to ya, though, but I’m happy to be back to sharing peeks around our home. With the past few months we’ve made a few minor changes to our furniture and decor, leaving our place feeling even brighter and fresh for the spring months to come. I’m still dreaming of a new couch and perhaps a few new chairs, but I’m waiting until just right pieces fall int our laps. Funny how things happen like that, right? Anyways, ready for a few recent peeks into our home + thoughts during the month past month? Without further ado —

— I have been dreaming of owning a marble coffee table for as long as I can remember! We purchased the one we had in our home for years on a whim, and during a sale, with the thought that it would just be temporary. It was a Mid-Century modern style, wooden oval beauty, but it just didn’t feel like what I was wanting for this space. Fast forward a few years and after eyeing dozens of other coffee tables and almost hitting purchase, I found a long marble coffee table on Facebook Marketplace for $60. The bottom wasn’t really my style, but I knew Scott could create a new base for the creamy, almost peachy like marble top to sit on. A few weeks later and Scott had built the base of my dreams! I love how it brights up the whole space and gives Ace more room to play on.

— Our sweet boy at 28 months! He’s a chatter box who loves trains, Cars, Buzz and Woody, bubbles and helping mom and dad with cooking, pottery and making ornaments. He’s been equally hilarious, fun, emotional and loving lately and is surely a two year old who he is learning to become independent and also wants his mom and dad when he’s tired (he’s half my size already, but I loving caring him around)

— A few of my favorite pieces of pottery and trinkets on our media console! I love that each piece has it’s own story to share — like the crystal that was a gift for my 30th and the vase full of our photobooth photos that I purchased in Palm Springs. I recently started adding my own pottery collection to this space most recently, but I’ll save those for another post!
