I just found this post tucked away that I never posted last year – so I wanted to share now!

Another family session in the books with the lovely Kelsey Cowley — this time, in Malibu!

We stayed at the ever-so-cool Surfrider Hotel, a spot that had been on my list for ages and surely didn’t disappoint. The stress of parking along the beach was taken away so easily by having a room just on the other side of the road — we walked to the water each day to eat brunch with a view or swim in the cold California waters. Malibu quickly became one of my favorite spots this summer, as it’s not hard to love a spot with this view, those waves and everything you need all right there.

I also don’t want to forget this age — Ace age 2.5. years old and so much bigger than our last photo session at the beach. This time he wasn’t afraid of the sand or really the waves for that – he just wanted to run and take it all in. I do think the June Gloom helped in getting him to be so cuddly or maybe it was the long drive to the beach we had behind us. Either way, these are moments all cherish forever.
