The Perfect Day Around Phoenix, Arizona

If I had to choose a perfect day out in the Phoenix area…it would go something like this:

Morning coffee at Peixoto Coffee in Chandler, followed by a pastry from one of their local vendors to hold us off until we head to Liberty Market in downtown Gilbert for a classic grilled veggie scramble and a giant cinnamon roll if you’re the gluten eating type. After we fill our bellies, we would walk make the walk over to Heritage & Home to peruse their unique home decor and clothing pieces – you might even spot a CG Pottery original floating around in there.

After hopping back in the car, we would head north toward Phoenix for a later morning/early afternoon of fun! Ya’ll know that I’m a multiple iced coffee kind of gal, so my first stop would be at Pip & Clay Coffee for a coffee tonic and some ceramic shopping (their students + teachers sell their pieces in the shop). Just down the street from Pips is Yvette’s Jewelry and if you’ve followed for any time on my Instagram you know how much I love Yvette’s – I would head there next and look at their new charms, bracelets and maybe even inquire about a custom piece (they do the best custom work)! Now that our stomachs have had time to settled, Urban Cookies is next up on my list. We’ve been going to this bakeshop since our early college days and love that the have so many gluten friendly options – I always stock up when we go on their cupcakes, cookies and donuts (their Meyer lemon and raspberry is my favorite!).

After the treats have settled – more shopping would be on the list! We would aim to stop at Local Nomad, Frances, Phoenix General and Framed Ewe in Uptown and then I would head over to The Fred to shop all their local vendors: Form Floral, Mahalo Made, Creative Kind, Batea, Metalmark Fine Jewelry and Cricket and Ruby! And at this point, another coffee is needed – so Berdena’s it is!

To round off our evening, we would have an early dinner date Valentine – their crispy cauliflower and twice-cooked potatoes are amazing! After a leisurely dinner, I would head to Nami for a tsoynami (been eating these since I was in high school and they’ve never gotten old).

Phoenix has so many amazing restaurants, stores, coffee shops and more that you could explore – which would ones should I add to my day next time?
