Windy Days

04.14.11
Once again unstable weather has hit Phoenix, but as usual I am absolutely ok with that. The other day it was super windy and I found these huge trees in Ahwatukee just enchanting as they swayed back and forth.
Cardigan: Rubbish; Eggplant blouse: DownEast Basics; Bracelet: JCrew/gift from Scott; Jeans: Levi’s; Sandals: Birkenstocks

The windy that had conjured up was cold, but very welcomed. Scott and I had gone on a little lunch date to Hillside Spot and the ate outside on their patio (something we’re really not going to be able to do come later in the month).

It was nice to pull out my favorite fall/winter sweater for one last hooray. I’m such a cardigan and sweater girl that I found it so hard to give them up when the heat kicks in. If possible, I would make fall the only season and dress in layers of greys, blacks, maroons, and sip pumpkin spice lattes every day. However, that would probably take away from the nostalgia of the season. I already can’t wait for fall.
I just love the braided detail on this top. I think my cute, blonde hair mustache certainly adds to the look of this outfit. Don’t ya think?
I am pretty sure I’ve never proclaimed my love for Birkenstocks here before. The pair that I currently own has been in my closet for quite a few years now, and they are well loved. Sometimes they can be a little heavy, but I just love that they are a quality piece in my wardrobe.

Tonight Scott and I are going to see The Black Keys, and Cage the Elephant at Mesa Amphitheater. The last time I went to this venue I was a freshman in college (circa October 2006) and I was seeing one of my very favorite bands for the first time (Brand New!). I remember the show not being amazing, as almost all BN shows are sadly, but I do remember just being happy that I was there. I am so excited to have a much better experience tonight with the love of my life. Here’s to good music and unbreakable love!

What has the weather been like in your town? What have you been up to this week?
