Phoenix Foodie

08.14.10
Yesterday I mentioned that on Wednesday Scott and I shared a lovely a meal together at Pita Jungle. For those of you who don’t live in the Phoenix area, Pita Jungle is a health conscious restaurant that serves both meat and veggie friendly dishes. In my opinion, PJ serves the best pita and hummus, as well as berry tea in town!
For lunch Scott had a seafood pizza, and I had a veggie burger + new potatoes.

Also, a few hours later Scott and I enjoyed a before dinner snack at Hillside Spot, a cute cafe in Ahwatukee, AZ:

Green tea, black tea, and a piece of almond coffee cake.
Being home really is lovely. I am truly enjoying going to my favorite breakfast/lunch/dinner/coffee spots, and consuming amazing food (yes, I may be a foodie). However, the best part about being home is being able to see Scott whenever I want. All his sweet hugs, and thoughtful gestures and kisses really do make my day.

I’m Home and I’m Alive!

08.13.10

Oh my, have I really gone two whole days without blogging? Yes, I am quite sure that I have. In all honesty though, I’ve been busy enjoying home and I don’t feel bad at all for taking the little time away to spend time with Scott, my grandma, and exploring/loving my city.

Here’s a little overview of the last three days:
Tuesday- Flew from Salt Lake City, UT to Phoenix, AZ on a 2 o’clock flight. Had dinner with Scott, my grandma, and my cousin and her fiance at Liberty Market (my favorite!). Spent the rest of the evening with my love, chatting about how happy we both were that I am finally home.
Wednesday- Scott and I ate grandma’s famous pancakes for breakfast (I seriously missed those), then went to a meeting for my internship. Afterwards I had new tires put on my car (first time since I got my car almost three years ago, eck!), then had a lovely lunch at Pita Jungle, and did a little shopping at Tempe Marketplace.
Today- State Press Camp for the entire morning, plus a little portion of my afternoon. Time spent chatting with my love, then coffee and pastries at Lola, followed by a quick sandwich dinner. The rest of the evening was spent chatting at Merry May Handmade/Butter Toast with one of my favorite PHX crafty girls, Ashley!
Ok, I feel like we’re all caught up now! Before I go however, here are a few photos of the last few days (will share more later):

It’s 11:11 p.m. now and I do believe it’s time for bed. Night!

Adventure in Logan, UT!

08.10.10

Today I went on a little adventure in Logan, Utah.

Down the street from where we usually stay is a cute bakery that has the loveliest flower garden behind their building.

The field is filled with all different kinds of pretty wildflowers, most of which I was tempted to pluck and take home (I didn’t of course!).
(secret treehouse!)

All in all it was a lovely adventure and I am so glad to finally have photographed this area (I’ve been seriously thinking about it for years now).
Have you been on any adventures lately? Nature walks?
