Xyron sticker maker!

08.02.10
Awhile back Scott surprised me with this beauty:

It’s a Xyron sticker maker, and it makes the best diy washi-like tape! All you have to do is cut your ribbon, paper, or whatever you may want to use to size, stick it through the hole on the top of the X and pull the paper through the other end! It’s as simple as that.
I was inspired by this post that Danielle of Sometimes Sweet showed me, and I’ve been obsessed with the idea of making my own cute decorate tape ever since.
I plan on making a whole bunch of tape in the near future so that I will have it ready for when I have time to journal, write letters, and make packages.
Be back later!

Almost to the end of the rainbow

08.01.10
The end of the rainbow holds:
coffee dates,
holding hands,
neighborhood bike rides,
my own car,
asu,
my grandmother,
my love,
my friends,
home.

Only a handful of days and I will be back where my heart is.
I will try and be back later with something inspirational!

Merry May Handmade Giveaway + Iced Coffee

07.31.10

My friend Ashley of Merry May Handmade is hosting a super sweet giveaway on her blog.

She is giving away a few different items, from a few different bloggers/companies, including something from myself! I highly suggest that you head over to Ashley’s blog, enter the amazing giveaway, and follow Ashley’s blog while you’re at it! Ashley seriously blogs about the cutest, craftiest things, along with tidbits of her every day life, and her blog is a must read!
On another note, I’ve been really obsessed with making my own cold brewed coffee lately, and drinking black iced tea. In the last few days I’ve had no desire to drink hot coffee, which is really strange for me. I presume it’s do to this hot heat we’ve been having in Utah the last few days.
Time to get ready for the day!

What I Wore Today & My New Mary-Janes

07.29.10
This morning I took a few outfit photos so I could show off my light grey footless We Love Colors tights. I decided to pair them w/ a American Apparel shirt, a floral skirt from Nordstroms, and my new Dansko mary-janes.

I bought these mary-janes a few weeks ago after being inspired by the What Would a Nerd Wear blog. My mom has been wearing Dansko for years now, and has offered to buy me a pair of their clogs numerous times, but I just didn’t feel like they were really for me. However, after I saw Tania sporting a cute pair of mary-janes, which were made my Dansko, I just knew I could pull them off too. Honestly, I am really excited to wear them around school this fall, paired with some cute tights, and a nice dress. They are super comfy, and I would recommend them to anyone.

I’m A Morning Person

07.28.10
I truly am a morning person. I love getting up early, making coffee, and breakfast, and enjoying them together. I love watching the morning news, and browsing blogs, and tweets that I had missed while sleeping.

The early morning is really my time of day, and I wouldn’t trade it for a thing.
I’m off for a mid-morning adventure! Here’s to hoping I score something cute at the local antique store.
Oh, and Carly is hosting a sweet giveaway on her blog!

At the beginning of this month Kim announced that she would be posting a few of her lovely broaches in her Etsy shop, and right then I knew one would be coming my way.
The other day a cute package from Kim arrived all the way from the UK, and inside was this lovely piece:
