Thank You a Million Much

07.04.10
Recently I recieved some very sweet packages from far away friends, and a very nice Etsy shop owner. When I got all four of the packages I was instantly overwhelmed, and very thankful for having such sweet online friends. This morning I thought I would share with you what I received.
First, the very sweet Cara-Mia sent me an amazing package filled with handmade journals, and extra sweet stationary notes.

(Andy Warhol stationary? How amazing!)
The second package was from Courtney of Dolly and Boy (a recent giveaway hostess). Courtney sent me a lovely note, and one of her beautiful twig necklaces.
The fourth, and final package was from Elise Blaha of the Enjoy it blog. A few weeks ago I ordered a handmade paper journal from Elise’s shop, and was thoroughly excited when I received it. The inside is filled with beautiful papers, and envelopes. The last few days I have been art journaling in it, and I promise to share my progress in it soon.

Breakfast at Back Country Coffee

07.02.10

Two days ago I had a lovely breakfast at Back Country Coffee in Paonia, CO.

I had a soy latte with a egg and cheese bagel sandwich. Honestly, this was the best breakfast that I’ve had in awhile, however the aftermath of eating this was not so great (still having stomach issues, and apparently dairy affects me in bad ways whenever it feels like it).
I didn’t let a stomach ache get to me though, and I enjoyed an hour or so sitting at a table by the window, blog browsing and dreaming about home.

A table for two. I wished so hard after I took this that my Mister was here with me.

I sat in the table in the center of the photo. It felt almost picturesque.
Lately, as mentioned before I’ve felt very inspired by the area that I’m in, and I’m only slightly (yeah right) obsessed with this coffee shop that I’ve been spending time in. I feel so lucky to be able to explore new places like this. I honestly hope I never stop traveling, and that my work lets me go to the places I love.
What has been inspiring you lately?

Tea Talk Gets a Make-Over!

07.01.10

Well, first off I wanted to say welcome to the newly designed Tea Talk blog. This re-model has been in the works for awhile, and I wanted to give a big thank you to Jaelynn of Pardon My French for working so hard on the new design. It is honestly everything I’ve ever wanted my blog to look like, and I couldn’t be happier with it.

Also, I wanted to say thank you to my lovely boyfriend Scott for creating the beautiful new header, and also my new logo (featured all the way to the right of the header). It’s sleek, and chic, and I’m very happy with it.
In the near future Jaelynn will be opening her own online design shop, and If you ever need any design work (blog re-design, etsy headers, blog buttons, etc) I highly recommend working with Jaelynn, as she is professional, very helpful, talented, and overall just wants to make you (the customer) happy with your new design.
Thanks again Jaelynn for the great new design! Hope everyone adores it as much as I do!

Back Country Coffee

06.30.10

Yesterday morning I took a trip to my favorite coffee shop in Paonia, Colorado: Back Country Coffee.

The coffee here is cheap (a large soy latte for 3.75? amazing), and tastes extra good in their eco friendly to-go cups.

Did I mention that they have yummy pastries as well? Well, they do!
Ginger chocolate chip scone!
They also have a cute porch area on the side of the building, and offer free wi-fi.

Lovely wooden ceiling.
Yesterday I also took full advantage of this and Skyped with Scott for about an hour or so, as well as did a little blog reading. I have a feeling that I will be spending lots of time there this week! In fact, I’m here right now, enjoying a bagel egg and cheese sandwich, along with a wonderful 3 shot soy latte.

What are you up to today?

Obsessed with nature

06.29.10
As many of you know I am from Phoenix, AZ and spend most of my time in the city. However, in the summer I spend a lot of time in the mountains in Colorado.
Lately I’ve really been taking in the green scenery, and enjoying the cool weather.

At home in Phoenix it has been in the 100’s, but here in Colorado it has been in the 70’s and 80’s in the day, and in the 50’s at night.
I’ve always said that when I come to Colorado for the summer, I feel like I’m getting another fall/winter (sometimes, it did snow on me this May). For some reason however, I feel like I just don’t enjoy it as much as I do a Phoenix fall day. I’m going to attribute this to the idea that in Phoenix the fall weather can be a savior to us that have been living in the hot, hot heat, and also because in true fall I always feel like I’m in a nostalgic state of mine, as do other people that I’m usually surrounded by.
In truth, nothing beats a cool fall Phoenix.
What has the weather been like in your area recently? Has it been overwhelmingly hot, or are you getting another shot at fall as well?
