A test in my first class, an article due in my second, lots, and lots of homework to complete,
Sonic lemon-berry slushes, more homework, dinner, and homework yet again.
This week has been really rough on both Scott and I, but it’s almost over and we’re going to celebrate by going shopping, attending a friends show, and by Scott getting his hair cut (tomorrow! eck!).
I decided that we should take another “What I Wore Today” photo, just for fun. Here are the results:
We Love Colors (that I won in a giveaway last week! love them)
Boots- Steve Madden
Jacket- Banana Republic
Shirt-Buffalo Exchange (can’t remember specific brand, but he got it new)
Pants- Levi’s
Shoes- Toms
As I mentioned, tomorrow Scott is getting is hair cut shorter and is still trying to decide on a specific cut/look to go for. He was thinking something similar to how his hair was cut last October:
Do you have any ideas/pictures on how he should get his hair cut? Help would be much appreciated!
Ok, time to go over a paper I have due tomorrow one last time.
Today my day was consumed by school, but what else can a girl expect for this time of year.
Scott and I did have some time after I got off of school to walk to the post office so that I could send off a few packages. Our walk turned into an impromptu “What I Wore Today” photo-shoot (ok, maybe not that impromptu:
Chelsea is wearing:
Shirt- American Apparel
Necklace- Tiffany &Co. enamel key
Skirt- H&M
Leggings- Old Navy (it was windy today!)
Shoes- Minnetonkas (for walking to the post office, was wearing black flats)
My 22nd birthday is coming up in less than a month (May 2nd), and I’ve decided to make a list of a few things I would enjoy receiving. The list is as followed:
When is you birthday? Do you already have something special in mind that you would like to receive?
Over the last two weeks I’ve recieved some really amazing, and incredibly sweet packages in the mail and I wanted to make a post to so thank you (not just to the ones that I mentioned, but to all who has sent me mail, including Miss Katrina<3).
Before I left for Yuma I recieved a really sweet package from Cara-Mia, complete with an adorable cableknit coffee cozy!
Thank you Cara-Mia!
This week I received a really sweet present from Courtney McEntire who owns an adorable online jewelry shop called Dolly and Boy Jewelry. Courtney’s beautiful necklace charms are made out of recycled brass, and to say that Scott and I love the two pieces she sent me is an understatement (we absolutely, completely adore them and think everyone should purchase a piece from her cute shop!).
The beautiful skeleton key!
Also, how could I have forgotten to include the lovely bows that the sweet Stephanie sent me as well. This package was a total surprise and I’m so happy that she sent it. Thank you Stephanie<3
Once again, here I am apologizing for my lack of blogging, but I have arrived with cute pictures and a few good stories!
As I mentioned a few posts back, I spent Easter weekend in Yuma, Arizona with a part of family and had the best time visiting with my cousins.
Myself with my cousin Jarred, and my little cousin Kaleah (his niece).
Myself and my other little cousin Adrianna.
Also while I was in Yuma I had one of their famous cinnamon rolls at the county fair. The things are seriously to die for!
Back to this week:
On Tuesday Scott and I went to Green with Nikki, Raf, and baby Diella. Our food was delicious and it was so nice to visit with such a sweet family.
(always going somewhere)
Wednesday I went to school, did some homework with Scott, and started feeling a bit under the weather.
Thursday morning I woke up miserably sick with what I believe was some sort of stomach bug mixed with acid reflex/heartburn. It was an AWFUL experience, and I ended up having to miss my classes for the day (1st time ever in college :/).
Friday I was feeling better, still a bit queasy, but better. Scott and I actually did quite a bit of running around this day.
We ate lunch at Otto’s Pizza off of Mill Ave. in Tempe.
We had coffee (him a pour over coffee, she a cappuccino).
Scott also bought a set of these neat pour over coffee makers that we’re excited to try.
Nikki, Raf, and baby Diella. We traveled out to North Scottsdale so we could go to H&M, and later a few other shops in the Kierland Commons area.
(new AA shirt<3)
The rest of the night will be spent working on homework, and making cute packages for some of the best people.
Last week Scott and I attended a private coffee tasting that my new friend Brian (manager at Cartel Coffee Lab in Tempe) offered to do for us.
Brian started off by telling us the area that the coffee came from, and brewed the speciality beans in a Chemex (which he also showed us how to use properly!). After each coffee was done brewing we tried each coffee and talked about the flavor, moved on to the next one, then went back to the first one see how much the flavored had changed since the coffee had cooled down (this is seriously such an amazing process).
It was a really fun experience learning about the coffee, where it came from, and the different flavors that can exist in certain coffee.
I want to take a moment to really thank Brian Clemens for being so kind and doing this coffee tasting (and interview he did with me as well for an article that I did on the US Barista Championship). It was truly a wonderful experience, and Scott and I enjoyed it so much.
First off, I want to apologize for my sporadic blogging. Lately I’ve been without internet connection to my laptop (except for at school) so my traditional posts have been a little behind. Anyways, I would like to review my Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of this week. It’s been a very busy/emotional/hectic week, but in the end it has been all worth it.
Monday Scott and I had a lot of homework to catch up on, but we made time for a stop at Seattle Espresso and Target. Scott even took a picture of me in my new romper (which I love so much!).
We also went out to dinner with my grandma. We went to Red Robin, and then Yogurtland for dessert. Scott and I both tried something new at Red Robin (how unusual of us), and each got a new mixture of fro-yo.
Wednesday was spent going to school, having an amazing coffee tasting/interview with Brian Clemens (which I will blog about separately soon), and attending another show where Scott and I saw some old friends (some really old for me!).
Ok, off to spend time with my family in Yuma, Arizona.
I found this picture awhile back, not quite sure where, but it made me instantly think about the very similar van that Scott drove around for about the first two years of our relationship. He initially bought it so he could haul around his band equipment easier, but in the end it ended up being a HUGE nuisance. This van had so many problems, but somehow Scott always figured out a way to keep it running.
The reason why this photo reminded me of his van was because for a period of time the van was covered with spray paint i.e. drawings, words (inappropriate and odd), etc. Scott even drew me a tree on passenger side that had on initials “carved” into it. It also had a bird on it that he named Chelseabird (i.e. how I got may name Chelseabird).
That van held a lot of fun memories from Scott and I’s early years of our relationship, but I have to say that I am not sad that it is gone. I’m so glad Scott has a nicer, reliable vehicle now.
