Another day, another cup of coffee.

07.17.09
This morning I was getting ready for the day, and the morning bagel and coffee I had been dreaming of, when my parents decided that we should all drive up to Crested Butte for a few hours. So off we went, the whole 28 miles of beautiful mountain scenery. Once we got there we browsed around the shops, made a few purchases, and then had lunch at a cute cafe. I had a veggie breakfast burrito! Who needs sandwiches when you have breakfast burritos! After lunch we wandered around for a few more minutes and then headed back down to Gunnison.
I’m currently sitting in Mocha’s coffeehouse/ice cream house drinking a sugar hazelnut latte and blogging about my life.
Here are a list of a few things that I’ve become obsessed with lately:
These Simple shoes that I got for 50% off at REI.
This website, and these lovely ladies blogs.
This dress I got in Crested Butte.
The idea of drinking Boba tea when I’m in Logan in a few weeks(and at home in a couple more!)

Ok, enough for now. More for later<3

Oh so tired. Hello midnight.

07.17.09

The last few days I’ve been trying to continue to get my creative on! I’ve been creating new things, including crochet sushi’s, and I’ve decided that I have a few objects I need to re-create for a birthday present that I plan on giving to a friend that lives in Utah that I get to see in about two weeks (wooo Logan and bubble tea!).

Today I finally figured out what’s going on with my ASU tuition payment AND my $1,000 scholarship money that I should be receiving very soon!
Yesterday I went with my mom to Crested Butte, Colorado to look around at the neat shops and have lunch. I got a beautiful summer dress for 50% off and ate yummy teriyaki tofu!
Tomorrow morning I think I’m going to treat myself to a breakfast bagel, or burrito, and a latte at the local coffee shop. It always makes me feel better to be in places like that and around people. It makes me feel more at home (daily routines are what I’m made of).
The altitude is killing my legs, and my head here. I can’t wait to get back to Grand Junction on Sunday. My cousin Jared and I are going to see Bruno AND Harry Potter! Can’t wait.

Creative flow.

07.14.09

I’ve had a lot of free time on my hands lately and therefore have been creating lots of things. I borrowed a few of these lovely ideas from the RVA website and decided to make my own. All objects are hand stitched and made with lots of love. I am always up for a trade so if you, any of my friends want to do a trade from one art loving, craft making person to another, let me know!

Here are a few of the things I’ve created lately:
Camera pouch for all the tiny goodies you can never leave home without.
Mix tape ipod/iphone case.
Sunflower coffee cozy!
Owl ipod/iphone cozy!

10 Things I Love Sunday

07.12.09

So I recently have heard of this concept of “10 Things I Love Sunday” where you pick 10 things every Sunday that you especially love/are interested in that last week. So here’s my shot at “10 Things I Love Sunday”:

1. John Scott Good (forever and always)
2. Cute felt projects
3. Boba tea (I’m seriously craving some so badly and I don’t think they believe in it in CO because I can’t find any here!)
4. Lomography fisheye cameras (I had one once, then my car was stolen and the camera along with it :[ )
5. The idea of going to see Harry Potter and Bruno soon!
6. Sketching in my sketch book (lots of inspirations have been zooming around in my head lately)
7. Celery with peanut butter on it
8. Iced coffee
9. Daily trips to Sbucks with my momma
10. Skyping with my love John Scott
Well that was fun.
More posts later!

Errands, projects, and lots of coffee.

07.11.09

Today consisted of running lots of errands for my momma, Sbucks, felt projects, book sales, farmer’s market, and Unwritten Law.

My day was pretty uneventful other for the fact that I found the most amazing/creepy book in the world at the Rifle library book sale. I snapped a photo so that I could share it with you all. Here it is:
Can you spot the awkwardness? It even had checks in it from where it had been used!
Anyways, about these felt goodies I’ve been making. I’ll just let a few pictures speak for themselves….
Coffee cozy love!
Coffee cozy love!
iPod/iPhone cozy!
I’m having so much fun making these cute things, and I have so many other ideas for felt projects! Can’t wait! If you want me to make you something let me know. I love trades/sending things to my friends!
Night.

Thank you John Scott.

07.10.09

My lovely boyfriend John Scott edited my photo on the top of my blog a bit and i LOVE it! Thank you sunshine. The photo was a lovely present to find on his photobucket. Along with this photo however was also a photo, or painting shall I say, of his own. This photo is of a painting he did back around May of 2007 for a show he had at The Coffee Buzz in Ahwatukke. I love the way he edited the photo and because I know he wouldn’t mind ( :] love you honey) I’m going to display it.

In other news, my wonderful boyfriend also sent me a little package that absolutely made my day/week/month. The contents included:
Key ring topper! the “LO” is half of a LO-VE set and John Scott has the other half!
Cute decorated book that includes the sweetest notes<3
Cupcake bandages that included a free cupcake sticker! Oh he knows me so well :]
Yesterday I also made a purchase that I’m super excited about. I found a reusable cold drink Starbucks cup at the Sbucks in town and just had to buy it, followed by two more for my parents. I have been looking for this cup since May and I’m excited to use it. It goes nicely with my reusable hot drink cup that Gina got me for my bday! Oh, and I also purchased this sweet bag from an organic farmer’s market last week. I’m really trying to “go green” and loving it.
Today has been a very long day and I’m very ready for bed. Today has been spent sipping coffee, and working on felt cozies of all kinds!
Goodnight!

Holy Cute!

07.08.09

Holy cuteness it’s been a long time since I’ve done a proper update, so here it goes. Two weeks ago I visited the not so lovely Clifton, Colorado with the fam. That week was spent with many trips to Target/Finish Line (for my baby cousin who is obsessed with colorful Nikes/Jordans. We also went and saw Transformers that Saturday at a extremely expensive movie theater that didn’t except student discounts (WTH everybody in AZ excepts those! Don’t they know college students are poor!). The movie was pretty good, I have to admit thought that I’ve never seen the first one all the way through so it was a bit hard for me to follow but I think in the end I got the jist of it.

The following Monday we went our separate ways and my parents and I went to the charming city of Paonia, Colorado, while Jared and his dad went to Meeker, Colorado. Paonia is a super tiny town where everybody knows everybody and you can walk to basically everywhere in town. Lots of my time that week was spent in an adorable coffee shop called BackCountry Coffee. It was this adorable, brightly colored coffee shop that was built in an old house. They had the best wood floors, and really great coffee. I love that everyday I came in and ordered a 20 oz skinny vanilla latte the owner would always ask me whether I wanted 3 or 4 shots in it with no extra charger if I chose 4, so of course I always chose 4 and was buzzing for most of the day. There really cute cherry festival was going on that week and I was able to browse around some of the stands they had set up. I bought the cutest handmade copper ring from a lady that was selling a sweet collection of jewlery/rocks.
Last week I also went to pick cherries at a sweet organic farm, and also another time in someones backyard (I swear I had permission!) I also got to do a little shopping at the organic farmers market and ended up with a sweet reusable bag and a some other goodies.
Here’s a few pictures from Paonia:
This week I am in the not so lovely Rifle, Colorado. I’m really bummed that this town does not have as much charm as the others we’ve been visiting but I’m here nonetheless. All I’ve done the last few days here is go to the grocery store (I wish they had City Market in PHX), eat yummy chinese food, and hang out at Starbucks which is were I currently am.
That is all for now. I’m off to create it!

Wow, sorry for the lack of updates. I promise to write a full blog very soon but for now here is a video I decided to watch this morning, and yes that is my wonderful boyfriend all the way to the right standing on his keyboard stand/almost falling into the crowd.
