Flagstaff Fairgrounds
01.07.11The area that Scott and I took these photos in was absolutely stunning. I come here usually once a year in September when fall is just starting to settle in and it’s absolutely beautiful. All the pine trees make me swoon, and I’ve decided that the area looks even better during winter, even though the roads were a little slick (and the parking lots was full of snow).
Lunch at Macy’s
01.06.11While in Flagstaff Scott and I went on a lunch date to Macy’s vegetarian restaurant. For years I’ve heard about Macy’s, and how amazing their food is. So when we decided that we were actually going to Flagstaff, we knew we had to eat at Macy’s.

01.06.11Flagstaff Wanderings
01.05.11These photos were taken during our walk around downtown Flagstaff. The area is so cute, and is filled with boutiques, coffee shops, and restaurants. While wandering around I spotted this amazing, worn out sign painting and just knew that was our spot to take outfit photos for the day. I’ve always been obsessed with these signs, as I feel they really show off the history of the town, and the forgotten past.
Scott and I honestly love Flagstaff, and it was so nice to spend some time together wandering around such a cute town. We loved how snowy it was, and the fact that there were icicles hanging off of buildings every where. It’s really the little things that count.
Modnique.com Sale!
01.05.11Recently I was introduced to Modnique.com, a flash sale website similar to Gilt Group and Hautelook.com, that offers 24-72 hour sales where merchandise from amazing companies are marked down 60 percent or more. Currently, they are focusing in women’s clothing and accessories, but are in the process of offering men’s apparel, kids items, home decor pieces, etc.
An interview with Elise of Elise Blaha
01.04.11Today we have a wonderful interview with Elise of Elise Blaha. Elise is one crafty lady, and makes beautiful things out of paper, pens, and glue. She also has a lovely style, one that I admire very much for its simplicity, and is always posting pictures of something pretty in her home, or in her surrounding San Diego area.
Also – keep in mind that most free download-able fonts are NOT suitable for your logo or promotional materials. Free fonts are usually for personal use only. It’s better to stick with a basic font or spend some money on a special font to use.
10. Do you have any advice for someone that is new to blogging? What about someone interested in paper products and crafting, but doesn’t know where to start?
-For blogging – Take GOOD photos to illustrate your posts. Post often (at least four times a week). Be sure to always give credit for ideas and images if they are not your own. Be yourself! People want to know the real you behind the blog.
For paper crafting – Consider taking an online workshop in the field that interests you most!
Thank you so much Elise for doing this interview with me! Don’t forget to check out Elise’s blog, and also her shop, Elise Joy, to see more of her lovely paper goods.

Mini Road Trip Alert
01.04.11Cornish Pasty
01.02.11The other day Scott and I made our first visit to Cornish Pasty. This restaurant is known for their “adult hot pockets” and English pub feel.
Bookstore Refuge
01.01.11Happy 1-1-11 blogging friends. I can’t believe the new year is already here. 2010 seemed to go by fast, but I’m happy that a new year is here and the possibilities for adventures are endless.
Growing up I went through phases where I would read a bunch, and then not read at all for some time. Nowadays I read when I have time (summers mostly), but still adore going to a bookstore and browsing their selection and picking out something that I hope to read soon. Growing up my dad and I always went to a Borders near my house and we would spend an hour at a time looking at magazines, and books. It’s one of my fondest memories of growing up.
