Amazing Weekend Part 2!

10.27.09

My amazing weekend part 2!

Saturday was spent eating mass amounts of yummy fall foods, taking lots of photographs, sharing kisses and happy anniversaries with my love, and seeing old friends and amazing bands.
Here’s the run down:
Went to Ihop with Scott, his little sister, and dad for anniversary day breakfast. Had a yummy veggie omelet, fresh fruit, and some of my Scott’s pancakes (he always share with me<3).>

Who would have guess that a guerrilla and a bumble bee would fall in love?
The rest of the afternoon was spent at baby Emerson’s first birthday party! We had a lot of fun eating, playing, taking pictures, and spending time with good friends. Here is a few photos from the party:

The Godfather feeding his Godson a caramel apple.
Mmmmm.
Amanda and Zane! Cutest couple I swear<3
Oh hello<3
Taking pictures with Em in the photo-op thing that Scott built and painted (I helped with the painting a little too!). If anyone can tell me what this thing would be actually called I would super appreciate it.
Exactly three years later<3

Baby Em and I!
Amanda and I! Lovvve her!
Mother and son (their names for each other in high school).
The photographer doing his thing (taking photos of baby Em and family opening presents).
Scott fixing the bean bag toss that he made (and I painted!).
Caught in action! Lindsay (Em’s momma) taking pictures at the party.

Did I mention that we turned Scott and a few other people into mummy’s? I was super fun and I got very dizzy going round and round!
Scott and all his TP haha
Around 5 o’clock the party ended and we helped clean up a bit before we loaded and headed to our friend Amanda’s house to drop her off. We ended up staying about an hour at Amanda’s talking with her and her family. It was really great to spend time with them. Amanda, Scott, and I were inseparable for the longest time, and always the greatest of friends, but unfortunately with all of our busy schedules we seemed to drift a part over the last year or so. I am so happy Amanda came to the party though and that we had a chance to reconnect. I am very much looking forward to future hang outs with Amanda and her boy Zane. Hopefully we will all be at the state fair together come Saturday night.
After we left Amanda’s we decided to head down to the Hot Box where Anarbor, Lydia, and Straylight Run were playing. We mostly went though to see a few old friends, such as an old band-mate of Scott’s, and also his old band manager. We did however run into a few more familiar faces and got to see Anarbor play (They were amazing! There new music is so catchy and fun!), and a little bit of Straylight Run’s set (Ohhhh John Nolan<3).
Sunday was spent doing homework, getting iced coffee from Coffee Beam  and seeing Amelia with my mom and grandma.
Overall, this was the best weekend I have had in a very long time. I feel so blessed to have such wonderful people in my life, and couldn’t have asked for a better weekend. Thank you to everyone who made it so special for Scott and I :]
Three years<3 Always and forever!

A little late, but here it is-written on Friday night. More to come<3

10.24.09

Exactly three years from tomorrow (Saturday, 10-24-09) Scott asked me to be his girlfriend in the parking lot of a dorm building off of Apache and Rural in Tempe, Arizona. It was a special night, because that night we made it official and it has been the same way ever since.
Today Scott and I did our anniversary festivities because most of our day tomorrow will be spent at little Emerson Jude’s first birthday party.
We had our usual Friday morning coffee together at three roots. I had an iced coffee and even got a yogurt and granola parfait (the best!). I also gave Scott a small part of his anniversary present, carrot cupcakes and a fall trail mix jar! They both were delicious!
After I got done with my internship, which went really well today, I went over to Scott’s house and did a little painting. More to come on that soon. Afterwards we went to Target and did some shopping for a certain baby boy, and then went home to exchange anniversary presents.
WARNING: our anniversary seems to be our favorite day of the year and we always spend way more than we should, but we love each other and have fun spoiling one anther.
Anyways, I gave Scott one of his presents first. It was….drum roll please…..a RECORD PLAYER:
He has been eyeing this same one for months now and I just had to get it for him.
Scott gave me his present to me next. He handed me a beautiful bag that I realized was made out of this vintage pillowcase he had bought at Goodwill. It is a beautiful bag and I’m so excited to carry it<3>

My beautiful Tiffany’s charm!

Domo!

I wonder what it could be….
Oh, and yes we did buy each other almost the EXACT same card. I swear we share the same brain<3
Before I continue I just have to say that I feel incredibly blessed to have received all of these amazing things, and even more blessed to have Scott in my life. He is more than I could have every hoped and dreamed for in a partner.
Anyways, I gave Scott the last part of his present next! Two records, Cursive-The Ugly Organ (sounds amazing on vinyl!) and Brother and Sister by Mewithoutyou (Scott’s favorite band!), and a knitted beanie by me!
We had dinner at 905, a favorite veggie friendly restaurant of ours that we have been going to for quite some time (Scott longer than me). Recently the restaurant went under some remodeling, and to our surprise was very different since the last time we were in there in May for my birthday. The food and coffee was just as wonderful though.
Happpy!
Oh hai!
Downtown<3
Fancy place settings.
Best saigon coffee ever!
After dinner went went to Scott’s house and listen to some records for a little while. We ended up stopping by Brian and Lindsay’s apartment for a bit so that we could wish baby Em a happy birthday.
I think it’s for you Em!

Oh, and yes, that is pure maple syrup in a brown paper bag.
And now I’m here, very tired and in need of sleep. Tomorrow will be a very busy day, but I am very much looking forward to it.

RECAP + An Announcement!

10.17.09

Monday: Scott and I had photos of us taken by our friend Caleb. More on that to come soon!

Tuesday: Scott down to downtown PHX so we could have lunch together at Lenny’s.
Wednesday: I went to school, and to my intern. Afterwards Scott and I  had dinner with Lindsay, Brian, and baby Em at Green. It had been FOREVER since I’ve been there so I was super excited to eat my sweet and sour, crispy tofu and brown rice bowl. Scott and I also shared a Captain Crunch soynami. It was ammmmazzzing! I could have eat the whole thing by myself!
Thursday: Scott came down to downtown PHX again so we could have lunch together. I brought pasta salad and jello cups, he brought amazing veggie (baby portobello mushrooms and pesto!) sandwiches and we had a picnic in the park!
I also went shopping with my mom and grandma at Forever 21 and picked up a few cute things (2 sweaters, and a pair of jeans).
Friday: I had morning coffee with Scott, and then went to my internship. Around 4 p.m. I went to Tempe Marketplace and got a free iced pumpkin latte from the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf (they were giving them out for free from 4-7!). The rest of my night was spent not doing much of anything.
Today: This morning Scott and I went to Liberty Market for breakfast! Liberty Market is this adorable cafe/restaurant in old downtown Gilbert. Our food was amazing, the coffee was great, and the atmosphere was just lovely.

Mmmm an americano and a latte<3

Tonight I’m spending some time with my mom and also doing some homework, maybe getting some starbucks, and working on a few crocheting projects.
ALSO, look for a giveaway coming to the Tea Talk blog soon!

Chelsea! Chelsea!

10.15.09

I just watched this video and had to post it:

This band, The Summer Set, got their start around the same time that my boyfriend’s former band did. In fact, they played most of their shows together, and we all spent a lot of time being around each other. Very strange to see them in a music video, but I wish them the very best!
They just had a full-length album come out so everyone should go check it out!

Spooky season!

10.10.09

Oh yeah, did I mention that today Scott and I turned into zombies? Welllll, we did! Thank you so much Danielle for turning us into spooooky people! We Love them! P.S. fellow bloggers, if you check out Danielle’s super sweet blog Sometimes Sweet and ask her VERY nicely, she just might make you into a zombie too!

Anyways, this morning I slept in a little (almost until seven!) and went and got a cup of my favorite iced coffee from The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf at Tempe Marketplace. Usually on Fridays Scott and I have our morning coffee date, but since I was going to be meeting him immediately after work, and since we he had a few errands to run we decided to skip out on it this week.
I snapped a few photos while I was at my internship this morning so that you can see my cubicle and yummy iced coffee:
I know my walls are bare, but I’m not quite sure that I’m allowed to decorate. To my knowledge, no one else except me uses this computer/area during the week, but I’m just not sure if I should make it my own because I am just an intern.
Mmmmm Coffee Bean iced coffee<3
After I got done with my internship Scott and I went shopping at Urban Outfitters. We were looking for a pair of black, brown, or gray slacks/jeans for Scott to where when we have photos taken next week. I ended up finding him an awesome black pair of skinny jeans right as he was about to give up. All I can say is that it was just meant to be!
After UO we went and had lunch at Bison Witches. They seriously have the best half-sandwich and soup in a bread bowl deal! I have a veggie sandwich and cream of broccoli soup, and Scott had the “Tempe” sandwich and cream of broccoli as well!! So, so yummy!
The rest of my afternoon/evening was spent perusing  around F21 (no luck!), and trying to heal my face! I had a bad reaction to my sunscreen this morning (I’ve been using it for quite some time now, why is it reacting badly now?) and it made my face red and itchy.
Tomorrow I have lots, and lots of homework to do. Hopefully Scott and I will get a little shopping done for Em’s birthday, and I think a tea date with Gina is much over-due!
Night loves!

Fall favorites!

10.09.09

Since fall is my favorite season, I thought I would compile a list of my favorite fall things to share with you. The list goes like this:

Clothing:
Cardigans and sweaters! These are a must have for me during fall and I seriously can’t get enough of them!

Leather boots:
Oxfords (I own these beauties!) :
Scarves:
Plaid:
Food/drink:
Pumpkin spice lattes:
Pumpkin bread:

Music:
Bon Iver
The Early November
Iron & Wine
Ben Kweller
Today was quite nice. I had class for the most of the day, then Scott and I had a Starbucks date. I got a skinny vanilla latte, and he got an americano. I’ve been really wanting to try their pumpkin scones, so we shared one.

Afterwards we went to Chandler mall and did a little shopping. I ended up getting a very cute blue dress, and Scott got a very nice blue pull-over sweater.
In the morning I have my internship, and then Scott and I are going to have lunch (possibly at Bison Witches), and go to Urban Outfitters. Around three we are going to go with Brian, Lindsay, and Em to look at cute houses in the Maple-Ash area of Tempe.
Ok, time for sleep! Hope you enjoyed my list!

Thank you John Scott!

10.08.09

Last night I posted a blog to let everyone know that I know have my very own blog button, but I failed to explained that my lovely, and very talented boyfriend John Scott made it for me. So I just want to say THANK YOU SUNSHINE, it looks great.

In other news:
Today was really good. For once my JMC 366 class wasn’t awful (it usually is and I am constantly counting down the minutes until I’m out of there), and my hours at my internship went well. I had my first face-to-face interview in about two years, so that was kind of refreshing/nerve-racking at times. After my internship I went to Tempe Marketplace and made a few purchases at Target, walked around World Market, and made a visit to the Levi’s store.
Tonight I painted my toe nails dark red, and did the dishes and some laundry.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful Wednesday!

I really adore this lady/her music/her style/her love for dolls. The end.
