Ok – here I am playing catch up! I swear I’m getting back on the blogging full-time bandwagon though, and I’m excited to be back!
1. It’s official – I have my Master’s degree in Communication Studies! // 2. It was an amazing moment getting to watch my fiancé graduate with his Bachelor’s degree! I am SO proud of him! // 3. Some quiet time with a yummy iced coffee and the Frances Loves Summer Guide! 4. I finally joined the forces of iPhone 5 users!
3 Weekly Favorites:

2. Watching Scott graduate with his Bachelor’s degree! We’ve gone through our entire college journey together, and I love, love that we were able to graduate the same semester/the same day! I am SO, SO proud of him, and I am SO excited about our future.
3. Starting my new job and loving it already!
2 Hopes for the New Week:
1. That I get to see The Great Gatsby soon!
2. That my transition into my new routine continually goes smoothly.

These past two weeks have been just incredible, and I am so thankful to have so many wonderful folks, like you all, to share and celebrate with! PS Congrats to all the newly graduated out there – we did it!
How was your weekend? Are you in a transition period right now? I would love to hear your story!
Things have been a little slow around these parts, but they’ve been anything but slow in my daily life. From celebrating my 25th birthday last week, to spending the weekend up North with my folks, to starting my new job on Monday, to finish up my very last two grad assignments (EVER!), and finally to dress shopping for my big graduation day – its been a busy one (but truthfully, its been a wonderful time)!
This afternoon I’m attending my graduate hooding ceremony, which I feel is comparable to be inducted into some secret club (and dare I say Harry Potter-esque). Yesterday evening I also picked out a brand new dress to wear to my big graduation ceremony tomorrow, and you may just be getting a sneak peek at it above (can you guess which one I chose?).
I’ll be back soon with a few more updates and lots, and lots of pictures that are slightly overdue (oh, but they’re good!).
Here’s to a wonderful graduation!

Pre-birthday celebration with my fiancé over vegan mint chocolate chip ice cream and a present from Beauty & Use shop. // 4. SO excited about my feature in the recently launched Frances Loves Summer Guide! Feeling so honored to be featured right next to the amazingly sweet Georganne Bryant!

The amazingness that has occurred over the last week+ has left me with the warmest, most thankful heart full of overwhelming joy and celebration!
How was your weekend been? What are you most looking forward to this week?
Yesterday, Thursday, May 2nd was my 25th birthday. I am starting off my 25th year as newly engaged, one week away from getting my Master’s degree in Communication Studies, freshly employed, and filled with hope for the new year. I’ve got so many fun filled posts lined up, but with a weekend up North ahead of me, I just wanted to stop in to say thank you SO much to everyone for all of the very sweet congratulations and happy birthday comments/tweets/messages, etc.! I am such a lucky gal to have such sweet, and supportive friends!
Happy May Day, or as I like to call it – happy day before my birthday! That’s right, I’m a May baby and it’s my birthday eve. I’m having a hard time believing it’s actual May, and that it’s actually my 25th birthday tomorrow, and that I actually got engaged this weekend (ok, well I can believe this, but ya know what I mean), AND that we (Scott and I) are graduating a week from today together. WOW! That’s a lot of goodness going on, but ya know, I wouldn’t have it any other way! I feel like such a lucky gal to have so many wonderful things happening to me all at the same time, and I’m really trying to savor ever moment of this special time that I possibly can!
PS These photos were totally taken pre-engagement when I was running around just a few days before going slightly crazy and gearing up for a BIG weekend (little did I know at the time…), so if it looks like I’m not rocking my new bling I’m not, BUT I can tell you that it hasn’t left my sight since it was placed on my finger Saturday night!

Do you have any special plans for May Day? I’m thinking a bouquet of flowers and maybe a few treats are in order! Other than that, I have big plans for a HUGE writing session and knocking these last few papers/exams out of the park. Let’s finish this up! Who’s with me? Any other grads out there?
It’s true! Scott and I are engaged! Many of you may have already heard via Twitter or Instagram, and possibly even before we said a word, as we were surrounded by so many sweet friends who were able to catch the magic as it was happening and couldn’t wait to share (and we are so thankful for all of you that caught a video or photo and sent it our way – truly, thank you). We are over the moon happy, and I feel like words could truly not express how I’m feeling right now (although it’s a mixture of overwhelmingly excitement, bursting at the seems with love, feeling SO thankful that I have such an amazing person in my life that I get to spend the rest of my life with, and so many more warm feelings that I can’t possible put into words)!
Even though we’ve been together for over six and a half years now, our engagement was still such a big surprise! At this point in time getting engaged just didn’t seem like it was in the cards (only because we’ve been so busy with school, graduation, job hunting, etc.), but Scott totally surprised me and I am SO thankful and excited that he did!
Everyone has been so, so kind and is asking for a few more details and pictures of the actual engagement, so I’m here to say that I will blogging about it all soon while it’s still fresh in my memory. For now, I just want to shout it to the rooftops that we’re engaged, and I couldn’t be more happy!
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you all so much for being so excited and happy with us!
-Chelsea & Scott too xoxo
And the day is finally here! The day we’ve been planning for months and months now. The day that has made us feel giddy, anxious, nervous, and filled with joy all at the same time. The 2013 Arizona Blogger Conference is finally here, and we are ready to have some FUN!
If you haven’t purchased a ticket and still are hoping to attend, tickets are $50 at the door and we still have a small number of goodie bags to give away (so come early!). All of the information for the conference is still up on the eventbrite page, and I hope to see so many of you there! It’s sure to be a magical evening!
Don’t forge to use the hashtag #ABC13 so we can follow your tweets and photos! Also, please don’t feel shy today! We’re all in this together, so don’t be shy when you want to make a new friend, as chances are they want to talk to you just as much as you want to talk to them!
I’ve always been fond of the classics, in respect to style, that is. Neutral colors, timeless silhouettes, and Minnetonka Moccasins, of course. With that said, I’ve also been known to mix and match a timeless piece with something a little more bold and on the wild side, so when I spotted (see what I did there!) these Leopard Kilty Mocs from Minnetonka Moccasins, I knew they had to be mine. To me, they’re the perfect mixture of a timeless piece, mixed with just the right touch of fun and flair. But really, who am I kidding? Leopard is forever!
To say I’m a little obsessed with these pretty mocs would definitely be an understatement! I’ve received the sweetest compliments on them + they are the most comfortable shoes ever. I’ve practically lived in moccasins (always Minnetonka Moccasins, that is) my whole life, from the time I was very small to up to now when I’m about to hit my 25th year of life. They’ve always been a part of who I am, and I just love knowing that they will continue to be just that for years to come.
This morning I’m off to class (my days as a graduate student are officially numbered), and then I’m off to run a few errands for the 2013 Arizona Blogger Conference, and work on a few final papers/take-home exams. It’s crazy to think how much goodness is going to be happening in such a short amount of time (conference, birthday, end of school, college graduation for both Scott and I), and also a little sad to know that soon it will be all over. However, I’m planning on enjoying every minute of the journey and hope you all will join me in celebration (can I get a woot, woot!). May really is a very special month!
What are you up to today? Do you have a favorite pair of Minnetonka Moccasins? Have you been wearing their moccasins forever, and ever? I would love to hear your MM story!

While rummaging through some photos recently, I found this photo of little Miss Piper from back in March and thought it was just too sweet not to share. She’s already grown so much, but she’ll always be little to me.
This is the official call for May sponsors and beyond here at Tea Talk! May is going to be a very special month (birthday, graduation!), so if you’ve been considering sponsoring I would say this is the perfect month to give it a go! I love supporting other bloggers, independent shops, and local/non-local businesses, and sponsorships is a great way to get your name in front of my sweet readers! I have a passion for personal style, iced coffee, good eats, makeup, adventures around the Phoenix area, and much more, so if you think your ideal reader/customer is a personal style loving, iced coffee (or tea) obsessed gal, give sponsorship a try! May is also an ideal time for small and large businesses because readers tend to be on the hunt for unique gifts for their graduating loved ones this time of year, and tend to look at blogs for suggestions.
I offer three sizes, small, medium, and large, and all are set at very reasonable prices. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask! I would love to work with you and make sure you get the most out of your time here at Tea Talk. To find out more about sponsorship rates, ad sizes, stats, and more, check out my sponsorship page right here! You can also email me at Chelsea@Chelsea-Bird.com!
